New Hours

KDH Dry Trash Drop Off & Recycle Center to Resume Regular Hours

In response to COVID-19, there was a temporary change in hours at the town’s Dry Trash Drop Off and Recycle Center. Regular hours will resume on Monday, May 3, 2021. 

Beginning 5/3/21 the hours of operation will be as follows: 

Monday thru Friday  8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Saturday  8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 



Reminder: The Dry Trash Drop-Off Center is provided to owners and residents of improved properties within the corporate limits of the Town who have obtained a permit. Permits are not required to use the Recycle Center.

Hydrant Flushing to Begin on 5/3

The Kill Devil Hills Public Services Department will conduct its fire hydrant flushing program beginning Monday, May 3, 2021 and lasting approximately until Friday, May 21, 2021.  Customers may experience a momentary loss of water pressure or temporary water discoloration and should check color of water prior to washing clothing.

Annual Water Quality Report

KDH Annual Water Quality Report

The Water Plant Division of the Kill Devil Hills Public Services Department has released its 2020 Annual Water Quality Report for the Town. This Report is developed to keep you informed about your water quality. It shares sampling results, health information and answers questions you may have about our water supply.
