Kill Devil Hills 2023 Holiday 

& Refuse Collection Schedules

The Town of Kill Devil Hills offices will be closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday December 25-27, 2023, in observance of the Christmas holiday, and Monday, January 1, 2024, for the New Year’s holiday.  

The following outlines the holiday schedule and refuse collection schedule:
2023 Holiday & Refuse Collections Schedule for KDH

During the holiday weeks, residential collection of recyclables by Bay Disposal will be made Town-wide on Tuesday December 26, 2023 and January 2, 2024.

Resolve to help others in 2024 – give blood with the American Red Cross! January is National Blood Donor Month, the perfect time to make a lifesaving donation. Please consider donating blood at the Police Department's upcoming blood drive.

Come to give blood by Jan. 5 and the American Red Cross will say thanks with an exclusive Red Cross long-sleeved T-shirt, while supplies last. Schedule an appointment.

A Note of Thanks -

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Town’s annual Holiday Donation Drive! This year, we collected donations for Toys for Tots and the Children & Youth Partnership's Diaper Bank. Your contribution, whether it was a donation or spreading the word, has made a positive difference in our community.

Volunteers from Toys for Tots have reported that they have distributed donations to 747 kids across the three counties, with approximately 75% in Dare, 20% in Currituck, and the remaining 5% in Camden.

Wright Lights Illumination at Aviation Park

Be sure to take some time to visit Aviation Park and view the town's spectacular Wright Lights Illumination holiday light display. The display was constructed by the Kill Devil Hills’ Buildings & Grounds Division. Aviation Park is located at 103 Veterans Drive.
