Town Offices and Refuse Collections to Reopen and Resume Wednesday, February 4

All Town of Kill Devil Hills offices will re-open at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

The Dry Trash Drop Off and Recycle Centers will open at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4. 

Due to the recent snowstorm, refuse collection has been delayed. Please note a modified solid waste schedule:

• Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026 – Special Residential Collection Town Wide. (We will collect on both east and west sides.)

• Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026 – Normal Commercial Collection resumes.

• Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026 – Special Residential Collection Town Wide. (We will collect on both east and west sides.)

• Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026 – Special Town Wide Curbside Recycling Collection by Bay Disposal. (Bay will collect on both east and west sides.)

Residents and visitors are urged to exercise caution when traveling, as hazardous conditions persist along secondary roads across the area.
